Engagement – what it means and why it is so important
No matter how good your content is, if it is not converting into numbers, or in this case, audience engagement, it doesn’t serve the purpose.
- Engagement rate determines the rate at which your content is reaching out to your audience, and how well they are reacting to it.
- At the same time, if you commercialize it too much, it might lose its natural touch, which will defeat the entire purpose of the post and affect your engagement.
- The post should be a mix of you using the product, integrating it with your natural lifestyle, while at the same time urging your audience to try it!
Tips to build engagement –
Up your #Hashtag game!
Hashtags play the role of SEO on social media platforms.
The key is not to use more hashtags; it is to use relevant ones. The more relevant the hashtag, the more you will show up on your target audience’s feeds or even new searches.
This will increase your chances of getting new followers and retaining existing ones.
Meet new micro-influencers and collaborate
Unity is strength – Collaborations and crossovers have always proven to be successful in the media world.
But since you are beginners, you must find micro-influencers who are just starting out, who follow themes similar/relevant to yours, and collaborate with them.
It will help in growing both of your audience and increasing reach.
Connect with your audience
Another way to keep your audience engaged on your profile is to give them a regular opportunity to interact with you. Since you are just starting out, it is recommended that you interact with your audience even more.

Audiences interact even more when they know there are a few people like them and there is a higher chance of them getting noticed by you. Go live, get to know your audience. They will be more likely to stay engaged with your profile if they see you putting in effort as well. Host AMAs, Contests, Giveaways and anything else where you can interact with your audience.
Evaluate your progress
It is very important to know the pace of your growth, and the magnitude of it. For the same reason, we suggest you switch your Instagram account to a Business Account. It helps you gain insights on your posts and track the engagement on the same, greatly helping you track your progress.
